Pauline Bewick husband: Who is Pat Melia?
Pauline Bewick was an English-born Irish artist. Bewick was born in Northumberland, England on 4 September 1935, and with her mother, Harry, and sister Hazel, moved many times between England and Ireland, before finally settling in County Kerry where she lived and worked, near Caragh Lake.
Bewick started studying at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, and after graduation, moved to London. During her time there she illustrated a children’s animated television series for the BBC, and also produced illustrations for books and magazines. On her return to Dublin she took jobs in singing and acting, and in 1957 opened her first exhibition there.

Dr. Pat Melia is the husband of internationally renowned artist Pauline Bewick. He passed away, peacefully, at his home in Treanmanagh, Glenbeigh, surrounded by his family.
A native of Wales and a psychiatrist by profession, Dr. Melia met Pauline Bewick while he was studying at Trinity College in Dublin and they were married in 1963. He was the consultant psychiatrist in St Finan’s Hospital, Killarney for a number of years.
Dr. Melia is survived by Pauline, their daughters Poppy and Holly, sons-in-law Conor and Luca, four grandchildren, Aran, Adam, Chiara, and Giada, and many other relatives and friends.
