Can Netflix subscribers enjoy the exceptionally-developed historical drama A Very British Scandal from start to finish? Keep reading to unlock those secrets and more!
The series hails from Blueprint Pictures, who previously released A Very English Scandal about the Thorpe Affair starring Hugh Grant. This time they have returned with A Very Britsh Scandal, which starsThe Crown‘s Claire Foy as Margaret Campbell, the Duchess of Argyll, and WandaVision‘s Paul Bettany as her husband Ian Campbell, the 11th Duke of Argyll.
The award-winning three entries are a compelling dramatization of the very newsworthy, public, and scandal-ridden 1963 Argyll v Argyll divorce case. The now infamous ordeal will be showcased in a rousing miniseries that explores the political climate Britain was experiencing after the war and the attitudes that society had toward females in the ’60s.
Both The Guardian and The Independent have given the program five stars, which isn’t surprising, what with the big names involved and the intriguing source material. Violence, drug abuse, adultery, bribery, and more are all on the menu for viewers eager to see A Very British Scandal.
Netflix has plenty of scandalous affairs in its lineup, and there is no shortage of tantalizing tales based on reality ready to stream now. While this may spark all kinds of horrid controversy, it should be known that A Very British Scandal is not an option on Netflix.
But, as previously mentioned, the streamer has so many stimulating options to choose from that will no doubt be a pleasantly provocative experience for viewers. Some of these captivating titles include Anatomy of a Scandal, Unbelievable, Narcos, Inventing Anna, The Serpent and Unsolved Mysteries, just to name a few.
Starting on April 22, 2022, A Very British Scandal is exclusively available on Amazon Prime.
