Not many people think of Wheezie when they think of Outer Banks, mostly because she doesn’t get much screen time. Fans thought that Wheezie would have more of a story in season 2 of Outer Banks, but she basically ended up playing the same role as season 1, and that’s helping Sarah.

Fans even took to Twitter to talk about their frustrations with her amount of screen time. Hopefully, the writers are paying attention and give Wheezie fans what they want in season 3.

We don’t know when season 3 of Outer Banks will be released on Netflix, but the teen drama is very likely to be renewed since it’s been sitting in Netflix’s top 10 list ever since it was released.

While we wait for the season 3 renewal announcement, let’s learn some fun facts about the actress who plays Wheezie, Julia Antonelli. Also, let’s talk about what we know about Wheezie from the little screen time that she gets.

Wheezie is 13 years old and acts very much that age at times. In the earlier episodes of season 1 of Outer Banks, she acts like an annoying little sister to Rafe and Sarah, but she becomes less annoying and more helpful as the show progresses. We just wish that her helpfulness was a little more appreciated.

The actress who portrays Wheezie is Julia Antonelli, the youngest cast member out of the Outer Banks cast. She is actually 18 years old and was born on April 15, 2003. I’m not greatly shocked that she’s older than her character because most TV shows and movies in the US have young characters portrayed by much older actors. For example, in the film The Kissing Booth 3, Meganne Young plays Rachel, Lee’s high school girlfriend, but is actually 31 years old in real life.

Regardless of her age, Julia portrays her role as Wheezie very well, and we Outer Banks fans hope that she plays a bigger part in the next season.

We’ll let you know when there’s more news on Outer Banks season 3, so stay tuned!
