Sex Education season 4 is now available to stream on Netflix, so it’s time to drop everything you’re doing to watch the final installment of the hit teen series. But before you start your binge session, we must share with you all the important details about the last season, like the total episode count and more.
Sex Education is arguably one of the best teen shows streaming on Netflix. The first season was released back in 2019, and the show has seen much success since then. After a painfully long wait, the fourth season has finally dropped, and we can’t wait to see how everything wraps up for all our favorite characters.
After the closure of Moordale Secondary School, Otis, Eric, and the rest of Moordale’s former students are forced to attend a new school called Cavendish Sixth Form College for the new term. However, Cavendish is very different from Moordale, and Otis and Co initially have a hard time fitting in at the progressive school. Elsewhere, Maeve studies at Wallace University, an Ivy League college in the U.S.
English actor Asa Butterfield returns as the protagonist, Otis Milburn. The rest of the cast is made up of Gillian Anderson (Jean), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Emma Mackey (Maeve), Connor Swindells (Adam), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), Alistair Petrie (Michael Groff), Mimi Keene (Ruby), Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee), and many others.
There are a total of eight episodes in Sex Education season 4. This is the same amount of episodes that have made up seasons 1-3. Additionally, each episode is in the 50 to 60-minute range except the season 4 finale which is 85 minutes long.
The combined episode runtimes add up to a total of 483 minutes, so Sex Education season 4 is 8 hours and 3 minutes long.
We’re about to share what each episode is about, so if you don’t want to be mildly spoiled, you might want to click off this article.

Here’s the official synopsis via Netflix Media Center:
"Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus…"
