Columbus Short’s wife Karrine Steffans called out his cheating ass on Instagram
All day yesterday, I was like “why do I know the name Columbus Short?” I was half-remembering those stories about him from a few years ago, when he got into a bar fight in LA and cold-cocked some dude and fled the scene of his crime. He also has a history of violence prior to the 2014 bar fight. By the end of 2014, he had left his role on Scandal, with Shonda Rhimes basically telling him to get his sh-t together. Oh, and he blamed some of it on cocaine abuse? My hazy memory was simply, “That guy is super-messy.”
Well, it got even messier for Columbus Short this week. According to Bossip, Short met Karrine Steffans late last year, as they were working on a movie together. Their relationship went from zero to MARRIED in a matter of like two months, and by January 2016, Karrine was confirming that Columbus was not just her boo, but her husband. Karrine is a famous “video vixen,” author, model and actress. So, by most accounts, Karrine and Short have only been together for like four months, tops. And he was already cheating. We know he was cheating because Karrine threw all of his sh-t out of the apartment, took photos of the sh-t, then started calling out his mistresses right and left. All on Instagram. First she posted this photo of Short calmly seated in a lobby with all of his crap spread out on the floor:
Karrine captioned this photo: “Somebody come get @officialcshort cheating ass and all his sh-t. What about you @aida006…still want him? And @candicernb…you f–ked my husband…want him?” The second woman being called out is Candice Boyd. After that, she posted a video of the damage with the caption: “You okay @officialcshort?” with her voiceover: “Nobody has anything to say. Nobody has anything to f–ing say. You feeling OK, you feelin’ okay?”
While I think it’s silly to jump into marriage to such a known d-bag (two violent assaults and a coke problem), I also think it’s sort of funny that she’s calling him out on social media. It’s like Waiting to Exhale 2.0. Where Angela Bassett’s character burned her husband’s sh-t in the front yard, Karrine simply tossed all of Columbus’s sh-t in the lobby (??) and FILMED IT HERSELF. I’m not saying I agree with this solution, but I’m saying that I don’t blame her or shade her.
Also, Columbus got on Twitter after Karrine posted those Instagrams. Here’s what he had to say:
