Chevy Chase Illness: What disease does Chevy Chase have?

Cornelius Crane “Chevy” Chase (born October 8, 1943) is a comedian, actor, and author from the United States. Chase got his start in show business with National Lampoon. Chase was a significant cast member of Saturday Night Live’s inaugural season, where his frequent Weekend Update segment established a show mainstay. Chase received three Primetime Emmy Awards as both a performer and a writer, out of five nominations.

Chase was a part of Channel One, an early underground comedy troupe that he co-founded in 1967. In 1970, he created a one-page satire of Mission: Impossible for Mad magazine, and in 1975, he was a writer for the short-lived Smothers Brothers TV show return.

Chase began his full-time career in comedy in 1973, when he became a writer and cast member of The National Lampoon Radio Hour, a syndicated satirical radio series. The National Lampoon Radio Hour also included John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, and Brian Doyle-Murray, all of whom went on to star as “Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time Players” on NBC Saturday Night (later renamed NBC’s Saturday Night and finally Saturday Night Live).
